Brewers decline former MVP Ryan Braun’s option, ending 14-year run in Milwaukee – CBS Sports

Ryan Braun has been a fixture on the Milwaukee Brewers roster for nearly a decade and a half. That might be about to change. The Brewers declined their part of a mutual option in Braun’s contract, deciding they’d rather pay him a $4 million buyout than the $15 million he would’ve received otherwise, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Tom Haudricourt. (Braun was included in the MLB Players Association’s list of free agents, suggesting the move is official.)
The move doesn’t come as a surprise….
