1,516 new COVID-19 cases, 41 additional deaths reported in Mass. – WCVB Boston

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has released the latest COVID-19 case numbers for the state.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 1,516 confirmed COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 548,874 since the start of the pandemic.
State health officials also added 41 confirmed COVID-19-related deaths to the state’s total, which is now 15,744.
As of Saturday, a total of 2,047,960 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been shipped to the state, of which 1,671,193 — or 81.6% — have been administered. So far, 504,304 people have received both doses…
